SCU FICTion series — immersion-cooled containers in an industrial hall

FICTion Series

FICTion — Energy under control.

2.08 or 4.16 MWh. Fully immersion-cooled for MW-class projects.

2.08 – 4.16MWh

Capacity per container

1 – 2MW

Rated PCS power

20 / 40 ft

ISO container format

IP67

Battery module protection

01 / Immersion

Cooling that touches what creates heat.

The modules operate in an electrically non-conductive coolant. Heat passes directly into the cooling liquid — with no air in between.

03 / Why immersion

What sets the FICTion series apart

FICTion combines SCU's BESS system platform with full liquid immersion — the most direct way to remove heat at the cell.

Full liquid immersion

The modules are embedded in an electrically non-conductive coolant. Heat is absorbed directly at the module surface — more evenly than with air-based concepts.

Maximum capacity per footprint

Up to 4.16 MWh in a single 40 ft container: the highest capacity in the SCU catalogue on a standard footprint — with integrated MPCS.

Protection up to IP67

IP55 container with IP67 battery modules and LiFePO₄ cells. Designed for VDE-AR-N 4110 (medium voltage); details are clarified per project.

The technology behind it

FICT-ION: the immersion cooling behind the FICTion series

FICT-ION is the name of the cooling technology, FICTion the name of the product series. How immersion cooling works, where it makes sense and what needs checking before a project — covered soberly in our knowledge section.

Which series fits your project?

FICTion series

  • 2.08 MWh (20 ft) or 4.16 MWh (40 ft)
  • Full liquid immersion
  • High power density
  • MW projects with limited space

BRES series

  • 240 kWh to 2.4 MWh — from all-in-one to 40 ft container
  • HVAC or liquid cooling with cold plates
  • Established approach for industry, utilities and charging parks
  • Finer scaling across several sizes
Explore the BRES series

Which architecture fits technically and economically depends on power, site and grid connection — we compare both series during the project review.
